Courses near the parks

Uganda’s courses feel painted into the landscape: lakeside, in the mountains and at the forest edge, quiet, spacious and full of birdsong. We choose the courses on your route, reserve your tee times and include green fees in your quote.

Kihihi, Kanungu

The course closest to Bwindi. Play the day before or after your gorilla trek, and look for the tree-climbing lions at Ishasha.

Kinyara, Masindi

A course at the sugar estate on the road to Murchison Falls. A round on the way in or out of the park.

Kilembe, Kasese

In the foothills of the Rwenzori, near Queen Elizabeth. Mountain views from the fairways.

Mehta, Lugazi

Between Kampala and Jinja, among the sugar cane. Pair it with a day on the Nile.

Lake Victoria Serena and Entebbe

Two courses by the lake, close to the airport, for your first or last day in Uganda.

Uganda Golf Club, Kampala

The city course at Kitante, for a round between meetings or on a day in Kampala.

Seven days of golf and gorillas

One route with four rounds, the Nile at Murchison and a gorilla trek. We change it to your dates, your handicaps and the permits we can get.

  1. Day 1

    Entebbe

Arrive and play a first round by Lake Victoria.

  2. Day 2

    North to Murchison Falls

Track white rhino on foot at Ziwa on the way.

  3. Day 3

    The Nile

A game drive in the morning, then the boat to the bottom of the falls.

  4. Day 4

    Kinyara

A morning round at Kinyara, then back to Kampala.

  5. Day 5

    Fly to Kihihi

A short flight south-west, and an afternoon round at Kihihi.

  6. Day 6

    Gorilla trek

Your hour with a gorilla family in Bwindi.

  7. Day 7

    Back to Entebbe

Fly back for a last round at Lake Victoria Serena before your flight.

Two worlds in a single day

Track lions in Queen Elizabeth, cruise the Nile past hippos and kingfishers, or end the day on a sunset game drive. Non-golfers can walk the forest, go birding or unwind by the pool.

We book lodges close to the courses, with rooms that suit a long day outdoors.

Questions

What golfers ask us

Should we bring our own clubs?

If you can, yes. Some clubs hire sets, and we check what each course has before you travel. Your driver-guide carries the bags between courses.

Who books the tee times?

We do. We book each round, pay the green fees and caddies, and show them in the quote.

When is the best time to play?

Any month. Uganda is warm all year. December to February and June to August are drier; the wet months are greener.

Can we play and trek on the same day?

Trek day starts at 7:00 and can run into the afternoon, so we plan the round for the day before or after. On other days a round and a game drive fit easily.
